Karen Pratt

Karen Louise Dance

Karen is a Suffolk based Dance Artist specialising in contemporary and community dance. She trained at Roehampton University where she gained a BA (hons) in Dance Studies. Karen went on to complete a PGCE at University Campus Suffolk in 2014 and has worked in a range of educational settings in Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire.

​

She is currently teaching her own classes Stow MoversFelixstowe Movers and Hadleigh Movers, movement classes for older adults, which all run weekly. She also runs her own youth classes and projects.

Lindsey Franklin

The Yoga Attic

Lindsey found Yoga in the 80s while living in LA, looking for something more rewarding than exercise alone. Fast forward to 2014, she then swapped her school teaching career for teaching Yoga full time.  Lindsey is trained in Hatha Yoga, Hot Yoga and Ashtanga. Her classes include meditation and relaxation and offer a blend of styles from gentle to demanding. Lindsey is a technical teacher - she'll adjust you and teach you each pose carefully so you know what you're doing and why. In 2019 Lindsey qualified as a Thai Yoga Massage Therapist. In 2020 she added a qualification in Gong Healing and now offers Gong Baths in addition to  Yoga and Massage.

Ellie

Yogability

Ellie is a yoga teacher and holistic healer from Yogability. A local yoga school in Ipswich with a mission of making yoga accessible and inclusive for everyone. 

​

Ellie trained authentically in Nepal and has a wealth of knowledge and experience in terms of chronic pain and illness management as well as a specialism in energy and female health and wellness.

Kat Garnham

The Women’s Wellness Club

My name is Kat and I run a small business called The Women’s Wellness Club based in Old Felixstowe. I offer holistic and skincare treatments to suit each stage of womanhood including pregnancy and menopause. Treatments include reflexology, scalp and body massage, facials and chemical peels.

Deborah Lynch

Deborah has been a therapist for over 20 years. She has worked with a large variety of clients, including bereavement, grief, anxiety and couples therapy to name a few. 

 

Deborah is also trained as a mentor, and uses both sets of skills during her sessions with my clients.

Heather McRoberts

My Therapy Solutions

Heather is a therapist and registered healthcare professional and has been for many years, she has practised and integrated various modalities and approaches to health.

 

Working from her base in Felixstowe she offers face to face or zoom sessions.

 

Heather uses Reflexology, Reiki, Meridian Tapping, Hypnotherapy and Past life Regression. In Hypnotherapy Heather specialises in deep relaxation for PTSD.

Jenny

Nutrition, Lifestyle & Wellbeing Coach

Jenny is an advanced lifestyle & wellbeing coach and plant-based nutritionist. She is also a qualified holistic therapist and has trained in Ayurveda principles and techniques.

Jenny has supported people worldwide with her wellbeing & healing plans, facilitating groups, workshops, and bespoke one-to-one sessions.

​

Her ethos is about the 'whole-being' MIND, BODY & SOUL, and she passionately believes: OUR HEALTH IS OUR WEALTH.

Chandra Grover

Musical Director, Singer & Teacher

Suffolk musician Chandra Grover directs the popular female choir Felixstowe Harmonies. Under her passionate direction, the choir brings joy through song, performing at various events in and around Felixstowe.  Chandra also teaches piano and clarinet from her home studio in Trimely St Martin. As well as leading her choir, Chandra sings with Stellar Acappella, plays clarinet in Essentially Swing and clarinet choir Java Junction.

Gemma Smith

Gemma Smith Yoga 

Gemma is experienced, having studied Yoga since childhood. She draws on many body practices to support her teaching, having completed a Dance degree and BWY 500 hours Diploma.  She runs weekly classes in her home studio in central Felixstowe.

Gloria Picton

Gloria, a native Spanish speaker teaching Spanish in the UK for over 20 years.  She is passionate about helping people learn this beautiful language and understand Spanish culture. Andalucian dancing and music is a very important part of the Spanish way of living so teaching the “Sevillanas” and “Flamenco Rumbas” will help not only learn some Spanish words, but  also to keep you fit and having a fun time with a group of friends.

Jo Cooper

Wellbeing Practitioner

After completing her training in London, Jo Cooper has been teaching and mentoring clients in Pilates and Wellbeing for over 15 years. She is committed to working with the individual to find the best opportunity for full wellness, both in body and mind. Jo's in-depth knowledge of movement and tools for change provide unique and enjoyable sessions for her clients by encouraging them to achieve a balanced body system.

Sandra Jones

Relaxation Therapist

In 2001 Sandra became a Reiki Master/Teacher just after she received her diploma in Hypnotherapy and Psychoanalysis. Sandra quickly realised that she could help people to overcome their fears and phobias using a combination of hypnosis and fast track phobia cure.  

Sandra went back into Dentistry helping patients with dental phobias to relax easily pre treatment.In 2014 she trained with Lynton Lasers in Cheshire, removing or reducing tattoos.

Sandra then expanded her knowledge and skills in the beauty industry, training at ESPA in Farnham and working in a spa.

Sandra became self employed and opened her own salon in 2014.

Being well in Suffolk

Sue Gray work as a Human Givens Psychotherapist. Sue actively encourages people to increase their knowledge and skills so they are more confident and successful in creating a life that works well for them. And to help them feel empowered to ask for help when they need it, and create effective systems to maintain balance in their life.

Jacqualine Bloomfield

Marwyn School of Dance

Jackie has been teaching with the school for over 40 years.  She started as a pupil herself, but in 1977 she formed the Ipswich branch of the school together with her mum, Mrs Hedley.

 

When the school's founder, Margaret Spencer, died in 1997, Jackie became the school's Principal.

 

One of Jackie's passions is to see babes come to her as young cygnets , and to see them gradually turn into beautiful swans as they develop their love of dance.
